Well Monday the 23rd June saw quite a few stiff aching bodies after Sunday's gruelling day of graduations. In kickboxing we saw 8 new blackbelts! they were in no particular order Mark Wrightson, Ben Thatcher, Damien Williams, Zoe Catt, Sarah Brennon, Darrel Bedford (C.I.T.), Sarah Moss (C.I.T.) and Ashleigh Hudson (C.I.T.). It was a hard graduation for all involved but team spirit and morale really helped with hundreds of exercises, round after round of bag blasting, miles of running and with some punishing rounds of fighting to finish off, including Full Contact and 2 on 1 sessions. Very hard work, but very very worth doing, I can tell you. Then came an equally impressive performance from the Karate students who were graduating for dan grades. New Dan grades are Mr Martin Bell (C.I.T.), Rory Bramley and Chloe Robinson. And a special well done to Jake Normington and John Leeming who both achieved their 2nd Dan grades. A very impressive display from the karate students in a graduation that had every single one of them in tears at some point it was that tough on them, sheer willpower saw them all through it in one of the best graduations I have ever seen or had the opportunity to be on the panel of.
Usual thank you to all the CIT team and Mr and Mrs Hauer. Also special thank you to Mr Simon Walker for his participation in my kickboxing graduation and his assistance in the Karate Dan graduations. I'll happily repay the favour soon Mr Walker = )
